Snaploom
Creator help
Everything you need to set up your camera page, customize your Polaroid card, share your link, and manage photos.
Getting started
From invite to your first live camera page.
- 1
Accept your invite and sign in
Snaploom is invite-only. When you receive an invite, open the link, set a password on the welcome screen, then log in at /auth.
- 2
Create your page
In the dashboard Overview, pick a display name and URL slug (e.g. snaploom.com/my-event). Slugs use lowercase letters, numbers, and dashes only. Your URL is permanent once created — choose carefully.
- 3
Wait for approval
New pages stay hidden until an admin approves them. You can customize theme and card settings while you wait — visitors see an "Awaiting approval" screen until then.
- 4
Customize and share
Set your theme, design your Polaroid card, choose public or private access, then share your link. Every capture lands in Photos.
FAQ
Your camera page
What visitors see at your personal URL.
- 1
Your link
Your page lives at snaploom.com/your-slug. Copy it from the dashboard Overview and share it anywhere — social, QR codes, event signage.
- 2
How capture works
Visitors open your link, allow camera access, frame a shot, and tap the shutter. The photo renders instantly as a Polaroid-style card they can download or share.
- 3
Page states
A page can be Pending (awaiting approval), Paused (admin disabled), Private (owner only), or live Public. Check status pills on your Overview.
FAQ
Page theme
Background and feel of your camera page.
- 1
Pick a preset
Go to Dashboard → Theme. Choose from six presets — three light (Polaroid Classic, Minimal White, Soft Lilac) and three dark (Midnight Film, Sakura, Neon Dark). Each changes the page background, accents, and glass styling.
- 2
Save
Click Save theme to apply. Open your live page in a new tab to preview how it looks to visitors.
FAQ
Polaroid card
The card every guest receives after capture.
- 1
Card background
Choose solid color, two-color gradient (with angle), or upload a photo. This is the surface behind each captured image — separate from the page theme.
- 2
Labels and font
Set a top label (e.g. your event name) and optional sub label (date, hashtag). Search any Google Font — it renders on the card and in the final download.
- 3
Logo watermark
Upload a PNG with transparency. Position it (corners or center-bottom), adjust opacity and size. A subtle scrim keeps it readable on any photo.
- 4
Save card
The live preview updates as you edit. Hit Save card to apply — new captures use the updated design immediately.
FAQ
Access control
Who can use your camera page.
- 1
Public
Anyone with the link can open your page and capture photos (once approved and active). Good for events, launches, and open booths.
- 2
Private
Only you can access the camera while logged in. Use this while setting up or when you want to pause public access without unpublishing.
FAQ
Photos & integrations
Review captures and connect to other tools.
- 1
Your private gallery
Dashboard → Photos shows every capture on your page. This view is always private to you.
- 2
Public gallery
Toggle Public gallery on to publish photos at your-slug/gallery. Copy the gallery link, embed code, or JSON API URL from the same screen.
- 3
Embed
Paste the iframe embed code on your website. The embed loads your camera at /embed/your-slug.
- 4
Webhooks
Add an HTTPS endpoint to receive a signed POST every time a photo is captured. Works with Zapier, Make, or your own server. Use Send test to verify, then Activate.
FAQ
Account
Login, password, and security.
- 1
Email
Your login email is shown on Dashboard → Account. It cannot be changed from the dashboard — contact support if you need to update it.
- 2
Password
Change your password anytime from Dashboard → Account. Use a strong password — at least 8 characters with mixed case, numbers, and symbols.
